1. Overview

This website is operated by Joseon Living (“we,” “us,” “our”). By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), including all policies referenced herein. If you do not agree to all terms, you may not access the site or use the Service.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that enables us to sell our products and services to you.

2. Eligibility & Account

You represent that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have consent from a legal guardian. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information, and to update it promptly so we can complete transactions and contact you as needed.

3. Orders, Pricing & Availability

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We may limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order (e.g., orders using the same account, payment method, billing and/or shipping address). Prices may change without notice. If we make a change to or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you via the email and/or billing phone number provided.

4. Shipping, Duties (DDP) & Delivery

Most orders are fulfilled by our partner warehouses in China and delivered by local carriers in the destination country (e.g., USPS/UPS/FedEx in the U.S.). Estimated timelines and methods are described in our Shipping Policy.

We generally ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) for the U.S. and most destinations, meaning customs/duties are prepaid and no extra fees are due at delivery. Where DDP is unavailable, local duties/taxes may apply. AK/HI shipping rates may differ. By placing an order, you agree to the Shipping Policy.

5. Returns & Refunds

Our return window is 14 days from delivery for unused items in original packaging unless marked Final Sale or otherwise excluded for hygiene/safety reasons. Return procedures, eligibility, and timelines are set out in our Refund & Return Policy. Original shipping is non-refundable unless the issue is caused by us (defective/incorrect). Unauthorized returns may be rejected.

6. Payment & Billing

Payments are processed via PayPal (and any other methods listed at checkout). You authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your selected payment method for your purchase, taxes, duties (where applicable), and shipping. If your payment is declined, we may cancel the order.

7. Product Information & Use

We aim to display products as accurately as possible; colors/finishes may vary by device. Product dimensions and weights are approximate. Our cookware/tableware is intended for normal household use; please follow the care instructions provided. We do not warrant that any product will meet your expectations or that the Service will be error-free.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service or products for unlawful purposes, to violate laws, infringe intellectual property, transmit malware, harvest data, spam, or otherwise interfere with the security or operation of the Service. We may terminate or suspend your access for any violation of these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services & Links

The Service may include links to third-party websites/tools we do not control. Access to such tools is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties. We are not responsible for third-party materials, websites, policies, or practices. Review their terms and privacy policies before engaging in any transaction.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website (including text, graphics, logos, images, and code) is owned by or licensed to Joseon Living and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

11. User Content, Feedback & Submissions

If you submit reviews, ideas, or other materials (“Submissions”), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and transferable license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display such Submissions in any media. We have no obligation to keep Submissions confidential or to compensate you. You are solely responsible for your Submissions and for ensuring they do not infringe third-party rights or violate laws.

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

13. Errors, Inaccuracies & Omissions

Information on this site may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions (including product descriptions, pricing, promotions, shipping charges, transit times, and availability). We reserve the right to correct and update information or cancel orders if any information is inaccurate at any time without prior notice, including after you have submitted your order.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service and all products delivered through it are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that your use of the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that results will be accurate or reliable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joseon Living, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, suppliers, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, data loss, replacement costs, or similar damages, arising from your use of the Service or products, even if advised of the possibility. In jurisdictions that do not allow such exclusions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Joseon Living and our affiliates, officers, directors, agents, contractors, service providers, suppliers, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your infringement of any third-party right.

If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed severed. The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate by ceasing to use the site. If we believe you have failed to comply with any provision of these Terms, we may terminate or suspend access at any time without notice, and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to the date of termination.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

20. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to our website. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes. The most current version will always be available on this page.
